Though I am a starter to coding and web designing I had designed a website through wid for my uncle. And now an other guy called me and asked a website for him to.. I got to know GoDaddy and WordPress are better that wix. I am afraid to make a website with WordPress as it might be different from wix..
What do you suggest.. Should I carry on with wix or should I try WordPress or godaddy. Are all of them same?

I’d skip GoDaddy. Wix is simple but limited. WordPress is strong but you’ll spend hours on setup. I use Durable now literally had a site done in half a minute. It’s a lifesaver.

Wix page builder is clumsy, it is not extendable because the code is isolated, the pricing is too expensive, I personally don't want my data locked by a company that can raise their price at anytime, go down at anytime, and out of business at anytime. Godaddy page builder? Never tried them, but it is probably just the same like Wix. Wordpress, you know the answer. Wordpress.org not wordpress.com

We created our website with godaddy website tools. We have had a good year and want to invest some money into website upgrades.
GoDaddy quoted us a fair price to convert our site to wordpress and make some changes, like adding a "career page".
Many of my co-working space neighbors said they switched to Wix and like it much better.
Any advice would be appreciated.

I’m a web developer. Wix sucks and godaddy is an awful company. There’s no reason to pay extra to convert it to a Wordpress site, what’s the value proposition for it, what will be bring to the business? Just being on a Wordpress site is not going to magically make it better. Load times, design, accessibility, and content are what make a new website better. If you aren’t adding or improving on any of those you’re wasting your money. Also wix sucks.

Using a no-code platform, I'm putting together a single page for all of my apps. As I look at different platforms that offer useful and flexible templates, I have the wireframes ready. I'm trying to choose between GoDaddy and Wix right now. Has anyone else done a job like this with these? If you don't need to know how to code, which do you think is better: Wix or GoDaddy?

godaddy sucks. limited edit options and not business-oriented suite to growing a website or your business. integration with other services like GMB and even GSC will make you sweat from frustration. plus wix got some decent SEO features and business tools stack and an ai website builder that you can try for free

I actually don’t recommend either for someone that’s not technical or design oriented. For something like what you’re describing it might be worth trying Siimple . But it’s more of a plug and play rather than design your own solution. Hosting is included and custom domain names which is nice

I own a small apothecary business. I was naive when I started it in 2021. I chose Godaddy not knowing better. After way more money than I ever should have spent and countless hours of work...They completely deleted my website! Now, I know that they have a policy where you have a set amount of time to renew your domain before they do this, but I never received an email, text, phone call etc. that it was time to renew my domain. In fact, I paid over $400 last year thinking that I had renewed it..Well..I went in and paid for another 3 years...but my website is completely gone. Countless hours eradicated. I'm furious. They luckily refunded me my measly $180, but I have to completely rebuild a new one asap as I have multiple customers on standby right now. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!
Edit: it will also need to have a somewhat simple website builder as I am "self-taught" one time on how to build a website and by no means tech savvy! 😬

Get a good host like siteground or wpx hosting, install WordPress and go to themeforest to buy a premium theme. Maybe hire a designer to design a logo and some banners for your site. That's all you need

Honestly it completely depends on if you have free time or not. If you're crazy busy and money isn't an object then paying someone to do it would be fine. If you have the time I definitely would suggest building it yourself. Paying for a site can be pretty expensive and building one yourself nowadays can be pretty simple (depending on what you want). For newcomers though I'd suggest squarespace or wix.
