So I have my Google Fi linked to my corp account but recently I left, so I lost access to it. I totally forgot to change the email before I left, is there any way I can change my email account to my personal email and re-access to Fi? Thanks
Just ordered a Pixel and wanted to activate it (on Fi, on the line the phone was bought for) and hand it over to someone else*. Can I set-up the phone with just her account or do I have to set myself up on the phone as well? We've done this before with a different phone (4a 5G), and it presents a problem if, say, she wants to turn off data. Anyone know what I can do (or maybe the 4a was a special case)? I'd rather give the kid the phone without having to log onto it myself.
*I'm the account owner but don't use this number so have been giving it to the kid, and unless something has changed, Google won't let me be the account owner without having a phone number with them.
Hey folks,
Having some trouble signing into the Fi App from my MIL's iPhone. I know, I know...
The issue is the Google Account I signed up with for Fi is suddenly not showing service associated with it. We've had service for over a year, been in the app before for voicemails and such, and no one on our end has touched a thing. She has two emails: One Yahoo account she uses, and one only for Fi service that is not used for anything. There is no possibility it was another email address associated with her service. And, as far as we can tell, no one was hacked or service compromised.
Phone support, as usual, was useless. They basically told me they need the email address on file to do anything. What I gave them doesn't show up in their computer system. And now, basically, I'm kinda screwed unless I know what email is associated with the account. Sounds incredibly weird, but ok.
My MIL is the least tech savvy person ever, so I know she didn't do or change anything. The account runs through me and I never touch a thing with it. So I have no clue what changed, and we still have service...so...yeah. Hoping for some suggestions and I will reach out and make a Reddit request with a little bit more info to them.
Context, I am moving back to US and wanting to set up my wife and daughter with accounts that I pay for via my account although they have their own Google accounts. Iโd need to use my account for daughter Fi account. Or is there some other magic way to get them numbers? I donโt need a number as work covers my phone service.
This suggestion has been made a few times on this sub, that people should create a new Gmail then subscribe to Google Fi.
Why exactly is this recommended?
Let's say if I have one account set to GoogleFi on my phone.... is there anyway I can keep my GoogleFi set to one account and say, keep my phone completely alienated from my GoogleFi plan? (Such as, say I use my phone for work exclusively but I pay for GoogleFi and use it on my own personal Gmail account) ..... Can I just contain the account to my personal Gmail and stay signed in and unafficiated to my work account? My company is pretty strict with not crossing over accounts and I need to be able to access information on my phone for work.
My family and I are planning to join a google fi family plan, and using this opportunity to update their phones to the new pixels (using the current promos). My wife and I have our own personal google accounts, but we also have a shared family google account we typically use for things such as this. My question is, would I be able to sign up with google fi under our shared account, but still set up the *phones* under our personal accounts? in other words, can the google fi admin/parent account differ from the phones?
(I read some posts on here about some users having difficulties getting the promotional discounts on when setting up the phone under the wrong emails. I just wanna make sure I set things up correctly, thanks!)
