I need someone to contact at Google to get this fixed.
I live on a rural private dirt road that is about 3 miles long, and goes between two paved county roads. It allows access to several properties with residences. There is a permanently locked gate right in the middle. Properties west of the gate enter our road from one road, and those east of the gate enter from the other.
Google Maps shows that people can get all the way through, but that is not the case. So people who believe Google try to get through but cannot.
I have tried three times editing the map to show that the road is private, and to show that there is an impassible barrier in the middle. Each time my edits get marked "not accepted."
This is a significant pain in the butt both for travelers and for our neighbors who don't want dusty, noisy traffic on our private road.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Post on the official forums at https://support.google.com/maps/community . One of us will pick it up from there. Be sure to include the exact location of the gate (GPS coordinates preferred) and a screenshot of the email you would have received when you made the edit.

Wow I have the same problem, do we live on the same dusty road? I've been trying to edit the road for over a year, each time it gets rejected. Tired of travelers trying to get to the other side of the gate, seeing the gate, then turning around all mad, dusting out our house. I just submitted the edit again and edited the road shape. Some of my edits did go through. I never get an email saying it was denied though, only when I submit the edit. I'll try the google maps community. Thank you
