What happens if I uninstall Google Play Services?
You actually can’t uninstall Google Play Services without root access. However, if you did, a lot of stuff on your phone would cease functioning correctly. Examples include carrier services, Android Auto, many apps that send notifications, and most navigation apps. You’ll have to get new apps from sources outside the Google Play Store.
Why can't I update Google Play Services?
It’s usually just a hiccup in the matrix. Try clearing the Google Play Store and Play Services cache, then try again.
Is it okay to clear the Google Play Services cache and data?
Yes, you should be able to clear Google Play Services cache and data without any adverse effects.
I’ve just moved to Android and Graphene on a Pixel 7 after years on iPhone, but I’m struggling with how I should set things up with different profiles and which should have Play Services or whether I even need it. Total noob to Android & not sure whether I even need to create a Google account (real or fake) or use Aurora Store now it’s pool of accounts apparently no longer works. I’m wanting a few profiles (banking & NHS app for prescriptions, social media, etc) but not sure which if any need Play Services or why?
