November 7, 2024Scanning QR codes with Google lens no longer translates them. They just take a screenshot, and do an image search which just gets me results as if I didn't know what a QR code is....
Is it just that QR code, or all of them? Because I tried scanning that code, and got the same results you did. But I scanned a couple of codes I have around, and they all worked. More on reddit.com

I haven't seen that specific method of validating, but the website looks valid: accounts.google.com. If Google doesn't have an office in Zimbabwe, the number has to come from somewhere. It obviously has decided to use an EU number, specifically Belgium. Without more information about the entire process, I can't tell you anything more. (Edit: Imgur didn't show me the first part of the video at first. It looks like you've done everything correctly.) If you've followed the process correctly from a valid Google website, it is most likely valid, and you can proceed. More on reddit.com

Every online guide says to use Google Lens or some other Google tool. This seems like something I should be able to do without downloading a skeezy app off Play that will probably gank my data... anyone know how? Thanks!

you do need something like google lens to do it i myself in search of alternatives to google lens also made posts in this sub but no one responded yet
