You need to change your browser's user agent to report that it's running on Windows desktop. You shouldn't have to do that, but it's an easy enough fix. More on reddit.com

No, this is very unlikely to be a feature because it's very difficult to see what the desktop version looks like on mobile, but it's very easy to see what the mobile version looks like on desktop.
