Oooh something I actually know about. Disclaimer beforehand, I've only seen the anime adaptation for Shokugeki, so that's what I'm going off of. Round 1: I give this to Gordon 8/10. Gordon has been cooking in high-class restaurants for longer than Soma has been alive, and in that time he has traveled across the world and learned about new methods and ingredients that he regularly incorporates into his dishes. In addition, all of the restaurants he owns generally use locally sourced ingredients almost exclusively, which can be quite the handicap in some places. In addition, his restaurants generally serve local cuisine I.e. his French restaurant serves French food. Basically, it would be like Soma going against Joichiro. Soma may finally be starting to establish his own style, and his adaptability in the kitchen is great, but Gordon has years more experience. Soma could win, but only if he appeals specifically to his judge's individual tastes. Round 2: More of the same really. Soma could pick every single member of the Elite 10, but Gordon would just match it with ten chefs that all have as much experience as he does. In addition, most of Soma & Co. experience is in single dishes, while Gordon's career has been built on serving full courses. Gordon 10/10 Round 3: Soma does just fine surviving, but the fact that this is a Stagiaire complicates things. In order to pass the Stagiaire, Soma needs to leave a mark on RHR. That would mean convincing the most stubborn mule if a person on the planet to give him a shot at making a dish, and that dish would have to trump one of Gordon's own dishes, which it would replace. I actually have no doubts that Soma could manage this, but it would certainly be towards the end of the year, after he had plenty if time to absorb Gordon's methods. Soma 9/10 More on reddit.com

I met him once! He was super nice and spent quality time with all in line! I brought a napkin from his steakhouse in Baltimore for him to sign and he asked how the food was and if we enjoyed it. Very different from his HK and KN persona! More on reddit.com
