Car seat tech here- the 4ever is fine, as long as you have realistic expectations. It’s a perfectly great seat in rear facing and forward facing harness modes. But booster modes suck and it’s not actually the last seat your kids will ever need! It’s a huge seat and sits up high in the car, so most kids really struggle to buckle themselves when it’s time for booster mode- a skill that’s way easier to master in a “dedicated booster” (a seat that doesn’t have a harness at all) because it sits lower to the vehicle seat and the buckle is easier to reach. From a child fit perspective, the 4ever is also outgrown by height earlier than most boosters because the height for the booster belt guide is shorter (the belt guide must be slightly above shoulder level for a proper and safe seatbelt fit, so a shorter belt guide = faster outgrown seat even if the on-paper height and weight rules look the same for two different seats). And the backless booster mode is awkward, bulky, and uncomfortable for a lot of kids because their knees end up sitting way higher than their bottoms. Plus- what 7-10yo wants to be riding in the same car seat they potty trained in?! All that to say, if the 4ever has the harness mode features that you want, and/or you get a good deal on it, go for it! There’s nothing wrong with it as a harnessed car seat. But you’ll need/want a separate booster eventually, so if you’re drawn to the 4ever because of the marketing about “only seat you’ll ever need” then skip it, your expectations won’t be met. (This isn’t just a 4ever issue- the same drawbacks apply to just about every car seat that tries to offer 4 modes of use and market itself as the only car seat a kid will need. Unfortunately at this point, there aren’t any seats that successfully pack that many functions into one product and manage to execute all the functions well/better than more staged separate seats. But! Boosters are cheap when the time comes, and things could change by the time your kids are 5-6 and booster ready! So focus on what they need for harness mode and worry about the booster situation later.)

We have been using it since my son was 5 months old he is now a year. We love it! He still has a ton of room to continue rear facing past 2 since its safer. I totally recc this seat. We actually have 2 one for each car but the new baby will be using the other one now
