Driftwood (pictured from another Houzz users post, and left grout sample in last pic) and rolling fog (lighter grey - right sample grout in last pic). Does anyone have any advise, given the info I have provided? Would driftwood clash with the floor tile. Since there is some brown tones in there? Thoughts, advise, opinions - all welcome!!!!! ... I did white subway with dark charcoal grout in one of my guest baths (below).

Now I wonder if my rushed tile job is too wavy to use gray grout, and I better do white. Does anyone have an opinion they’d like to share with me? ... One benefit of white is the ability to use white silicone caulk in corners without it sticking out. ... I like dark grout but you need a good tile job which is why when I used white subway tiles on our shower surround I used white grout.

True black grout can be problematic for staining the tiles too, so that’s something to keep in mind if you tiles have any indentations or texture that the grout can sit in. ... If you can’t match exactly to a light tile, it’s better to go a tone darker than lighter. I think that should be fine. ... I just did this for a bathroom-large white subway and medium grey grout using a 1/16 spacer.

Replacing our backsplash tile right now in our kitchen. Dark counter tops, medium wood cabinets. tile guy thinks white grout will not look good with my very light taupy/grey tile. he's asking NOW!! he thinks grout should be darker than the tile, or the same as the tile color. what do you think?...
