When you’re using grok 3 in the web UI on grok.com, if you open your console and head to “network”, submit a message, you’ll see all the calls it makes while replying to you, one of the last API calls it makes is to the rate-limits endpoint, which keeps track of your usage and timeline. If you click on that, then head to “response” it will show you how many messages you’ve used, your limit, and what the interval is for your reset. 7200 = 2 hours. More on reddit.com

Interesting it was up yesterday in API form as grok-beta but has now disappeared.... If I'm not mistaken it was even doing web/x searches from the API, because I was using/abusing it for reasons... alas its not up today and we have grok-2-latest which doesn't have x/web access. I was wondering why my prompts were failing miserably and now I have my answer.

As a developper, I like to use AI assistants to help me code faster.
My favorite tool are "AIder" and "Roo-Code" (a fork of Cline).
I find Grok 3 a good coder, but since there is no API access, is't not possible to use it with my favorite tools.

Here comes "Chapito" : a program that makes the bridge between a web-based chatbot and an API interface (OpenAI Compatible API interface).

Another benefit is to use your premium account without having to pay for separate API access.
It's a very young project, but it works fine with Grok and Mistral. Other chatbots will be added soon.
If some developpers want to test it and give me feedback, I would be gratefull 🫶

Lovely!! Please focus on anthropic, as that one is the most valuable for us coders :). Keep up the work man, it really helps people like me who cant afford the high api prices
