As for the key feel, they are very smooth but probably not the same kind of smoothness of a lubed linear switch. Because they are usually paired with lighter springs the best way i could describe them is they feel frictionless, whereas traditional lubed switches feel “buttery or creamy”. Hi all
I've been posting for a bit now, and I see a lot of the brands making Hall Effect keyboards. I get the gaming benefits with rapid trigger and setting actuation points. But besides gaming, why would someone use it for, let's say, filling in Excels, design work, content creation, etc? Would a regular mechanical be worth more?
How is the type, sound and feel of the HE boards in general? I'm used to typing on my old Ducky Shine 3 :D

If you're not using the gaming features, they're basically lightweight linear switches. I bought a bunch of lightweight linear switches while trying to find a switch that avoided triggering pain in my nerves, and mostly found I was making so many typos because they're so easy to trigger by accident, and they jarred my fingers worse because they also bottomed out so easily. It was only when I tried a silent tactile (Outemu Silent Lemon) that I found what I was looking for all along. Add in the rabbithole of incompatible HE "switches", and I don't think there's any point to them if you're not a gamer.
