So im extremely new to the entire DAP/ High res audio player landscape. The problem is while i do have some CDs from when i was in high school that i could rip i dont own physical media for most of my current favorite bands/ songs/ albums etc.
I was looking into the R4/ project ace bundle but i stopped myself from buying. Long and short of it is im having doubts on the increased quality of the music when streaming from Spotify. I watched a couple videos and everyone always raves about how amazing the sound quality is when using a DAP/ IEM. I guess its just had to believe that it can be that much better without hearing it myself. So i guess my main question is will there be a significant loss in quality when streaming from Spotify and am i better off just sticking to my phone/ bluetooth earbuds at that point?

Compared to a phone, a DAP will give you better sound quality even with Spotify or YouTube. However, to get the full potential out of a DAP, you should either use high-resolution streaming services like Apple Music, Deezer, Tidal, or Qobuz, or have local high-resolution audio files. 29 March 2024 - I have to use my desktop version of the app to browse through my library, then search for it on the R4 app to download. Tedious, but that's the fault of Tidal, not Hiby. I assume that likewise, the quirks of the Spotify Android app are Spotify's doing, not Hiby's.

I just got my R4 recently after some recommendation from my friends and it's a really amazing product!
Anyways, I would like to seek some help regarding offline music from Spotify.
How do I get Spotify to save all the offline music on my SD card?
Is there a way to point Spotify app to install on SD card or have Spotify itself to save all the offline songs into it? Thinking the most hassle-free way of course.

29 March 2024 - I was out for the weekend, using the R4 at several other places with wifi with no problems at all, but I got back home today and it automatically connected to my home network but it is not working. The Wi-Fi screen does say "connected" (not "connected but can't reach the internet" or whatever), but when I try to use something with Internet access like Youtube or Spotify it doesn't load anything.
