r/SocialMediaMarketing on Reddit: Social Media managment costs. Way off or reasonable?
October 31, 2023 -

Had one of those business partnership diners and within the conversations I ended up having a discussion about social media management. The talking point was how much is too much or reasonable for someone to fully manage your business social media accounts. One guy said he’s paying 5k a month for 4 posts per week (images only) content+service (creating content and doing all post text, hashtags, etc) others pay around 8-10k per month for up to 5 posts (3 images and about 1-2 videos) per week. And included 4-5 top platforms included 4 platforms. One is part of a large group that has about 20 brands, and they pay about $7k per brand for 3-5 content per week services and content.

So I wonder if anyone had familiar knowledge of the pricing for such services? Or these numbers are way off?

r/socialmedia on Reddit: How much should I charge for social media management
August 22, 2023 -

21 F CA - Recently, I got a job as a receptionist at our family friends chiropractic clinic. It’s a small office and the staff consists of just me and the doctor (Dr. E). The other day Dr. E asked me if I would be up for managing his social media accounts i.e. Facebook, Instagram, tik-tok, I told him I would totally be in to helping him! although I wasn’t really thinking much of the money aspect of it. Today Dr. E and I were having a whole conversation about me taking the position, and he asked me how much I would charge him/how much I would want to make. Now I’ve never really done social media management as a profession, but I know my way around multimedia pretty well (I took a lot of multimedia classes in college and all throughout high school) also I have a pretty large following on all my social media platforms for the amount of effort I put into my analytics. I’m new to the whole professional aspect of social media so how much should I ask for?
