- Alternatively, you can add each wall's width and multiply the result by the room's height.
If youโre bidding a job to paint all the walls of a home do you take the time to literally measure every square foot of painting surfaces? Or do you use a formula? My manager told me to take the square footage of a home, multiply it by .35 and add it to the square footage but Iโm unsure where he got this number. How do you do it when given the Square footage of a home?
Hi everyone, thanks in advance for helping me out with this. I need to figure out how to calculate the square footage of a wall and my boss just doesn't have the ability to teach me how to do this in a way that makes sense, but I still get penalized for getting it wrong and I really need help! I've tried looking up different ways to do this online but I can't find exactly what I'm looking for. So to start out the wall is most likely a fieldstone retaining wall, the height is 4', with 6" continuing below grade, the width of the top is 14"(no cap). The length is about 13'-4" and there are other sections with different lengths and heights. I guess my main question is do I multiply the length x width x height for each section of the same wall then add them together? Or should I be doing something else?
