I’m not sure if I missed something, but my PS5 controller only seems to charge when connected to my PS5. I have some USB-C chargers to charge other devices of mine and if I plug it in there, it does not charge?
My PS5 only powers the USB ports for a few hours. So if I’m wanting to play and it has been a while, I have to turn on my PS5 just to start charging it in preparation to play later.
Is this normal?

I started charging my controller about 6am this morning and it's 2:40pm now and it's still charging. I am charging the same way as my ps4 controller and that charged normally in like 5 hours. My set up is the original cable it came with, an extended cable because the original is short, and a wall charger. I read it takes 3 hours to charge the controller from the console, but the controller is still blinking orange meaning it's still charging.
So my question is if anyone is charging the controller the same way as me, what wall charger, extender and maybe another usb type c cable works for you? Thanks 👍
