I recently sold a Honda gas tank and the buyer requested a return as the tank arrived with no gas cap. However, in both the description and the title it very clearly states no gas cap is included. Am I able to cancel the refund request? The only two options are to accept it or to partial refund.
Have a buyer who purchased an item, and then decided to cancel it. Now they want to cancel the return request and accept the item.
But they are using a phone. How would they cancel the return request? It is very simple on a PC, but can't figure out instructions for the mobile app or website to send to the buyer.
In a worse case scenario, how I cancel the return request as a buyer? I've given the option to select "No, I can't cancel this order" but at the bottom right it says "Cancellation Refund:" and a button to submit. Which isn't clear if that means it will cancel the return request or give the buyer a refund.
As a seller, you can’t cancel the return request. Tell the buyer to access eBay using the browser on their phone.
You can't cancel but you can "ask eBay to step in" and they'll help you close it if the messages between your inboxes support the story.
I just had this happen when I sent a replacement item and the buyer couldn't figure out how to cancel. eBay fixed it within 8hrs.
They said it's so their metrics don't get dinged. It's a large volume luxury clothing seller with 99.6% reviews. I do believe them, but at the same time I do not have any insurance incase I ship my item undocumented to them and they decide not to refund me. Nothing was inherintly wrong with the item either, there was simply miscommunication between their description and what I thought they meant in it terms of item condition.
Thanks
