I picked up a pair of QC ultras today for gym use to replace my AirPods Pros. I'm about to return these things. Seriously, what is it with Bose and the WORST bluetooth experience on the planet? Soundlink is awful with bluetooth as well.
They're working fine with my phone, but I'm wondering how I can connect them to my PC. Entering pairing mode via the button on the right cup, it'll show up under bluetooth devices on my PC, but refuse to connect. Entering pairing mode via the "add device" option in the Bose app on my phone, it'll connect as "LE- Bose QuietComfort Ultra" as an other device and not a selectable audio device. I cannot output any audio to them this way. I have been spamming the bluetooth button on the right cup, constantly listening to that stupid cello sound, and listening to the atrocious AI voice spell out my PC name over and over but no luck.
It's not mandatory that I get them working with my PC, but I'd like to. I typically use Hifiman HE400i w/ FiiO E10k DAC, but my gf games next to me sometimes and she uses a Bose Soundlink for audio. Open back headphones with the background noise isn't the best, so I'd like to be able to use ANC with the QCs sometimes.
Any suggestions?

Can Bose headphones connect to a TV
Yes, Bose headphones can connect to a TV like most other headphones. If the TV has built-in Bluetooth capability, put your headphones in pairing mode, then go to your TV’s Bluetooth menu and find and connect the headphones. If your TV doesn’t have Bluetooth functionality, you may be able to connect your headphones using a Bluetooth Audio Adapter.
Can Bose headphones connect to an Xbox?
Bose headphones cannot readily connect to an Xbox due to Microsoft opting for an Xbox-specific frequency for connecting controllers and headsets instead of the standard Bluetooth protocol. As a result, the console only works with headphones that support this frequency.
The situation is the same for the Xbox One, Series X, and Series S. Thankfully you can avoid this problem with a Bluetooth adapter or connect your Bose headphones to your TV.

Between step 4 and step 5, an extra step is needed to make this device an audio input/output device:
4.5a Find this device in your
Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Device and Printers.
Right click it and bring up Properties window. In the Properties window, select Services tab and click all feature you want to enable, i.e, Audio Sink, AudioWear, ... and Apply
4.5b Now the device is listed as audio device in your Bluetooth Device list, and you can connect to the device and use it as audio input/output device

My first question would be, since the headset can pair with multiple devices, how many is it paired with already?
Does the headset show at all, even as an unknown device in the Bluetooth devices?
Are you holding the power button to the right for about 3 seconds to set it in pairing mode. I suppose you know, if you hold the power button to the right for 10 seconds, it clears all prior paired devices.
Do you have any other Bluetooth devices which are working so you can check your Bluetooth radio?
