Hey Reddit I am in this group called Sales A Holic and i was wondering how they were finding scraping the items and finding all the coupons necessary. Pretty sure it botted because so many other groups have a similar features. I am pretty sure amazon deals don't show coupon codes so I don't think that's the way they scrape it. Hey so yeah these sort of groups somehow find amazon coupons that lead to really low prices on products. These coupons most of the time do not appear on the product page and don't seem to be an ad (they tend to mark ads and most of the time the price is a mistake since you end up getting the product for 90%> or less of its original price) as well as multiple groups are in existence for this sort of thing.
amazon's coupon system is weird compared to most retailers. they have those little "clip coupon" checkboxes on product pages which is cool but the discounts are usually tiny like $2 off a $50 item.
i'm trying to figure out if there are better ways to find amazon coupons. like are there sitewide codes that exist? percentage off codes? or is it really just the item-specific clip coupons and that's it?
i order a lot of household stuff and random electronics from amazon so even small discounts would add up over time. but searching for "amazon coupon code" just brings up a million sketchy websites that all look like they're from 2008.
also does amazon ever do those promotional codes for categories? like "20% off home goods" or whatever? i feel like i've seen those before but can't remember where.
the other thing that's confusing is prime day deals vs regular deals vs lightning deals vs coupons. there's like 5 different discount systems happening at once and i never know which one is actually the best value.

Every time I make a web purchase, I always wish I had something to throw in the "Gift Cards/Vouchers" section. I typed in "amazon coupons" in Google and http://amazon.com/Coupons came back. On it were coupons for things I buy all the time.
I clicked on one and it shows the regular price if you searched for it and then says "discount will be applied at checkout" meaning that the prices you see are not already marked down.
Definitely worth doing in the future.
Edit: This does only appear to apply to amazon.com. I tried amazon.co.uk and I didn't find anything. If you can find it and you don't live in the US, let me know and I'll update this.

I guess it depends on how or why you use it too. I usually have a type of product in mind that I want to see if I can grab additional savings on, but I know some people like to browse these kinds of sites to see if there are any deals worth claiming.
