Love that you are diving into podcasting. It is such a great way to share ideas and have deep convos. First thing: keep it simple at the start. don’t overthink gear or software. (riverside.fm is an easy way to record high-quality audio (and video if you want) without needing a fancy setup - using it 'till this day). it also lets you record guests remotely with studio-level sound, even if their internet is bad. Content-wise, just start recording. you’ll refine your style as you go. have a rough outline, but don’t script everything. Natural convos are way more engaging. also, don’t stress about perfection. your first few episodes will feel rough, but that’s part of the process. Answer from tahalive on reddit.com

Anyone know a good free way to host a podcast to upload to spotify?
Just a heads up that Spotify does not support custom podcast feeds, so whatever you use will need to be published as a public podcast that gets picked up by Spotify’s podcast directory before you can listen to it in Spotify. https://community.spotify.com/t5/Closed-Ideas/All-Platforms-Podcasts-Add-Podcasts-from-RSS-URL-for-Patreon-and/idi-p/4866848 More on reddit.com

Setting up my podcast on Spotify
You need to publish your podcast via a podcast hosting service. That will generate the RSS feed you will submit to Spotify, Apple, Amazon Music, etc. There are a ton of podcast hosting platform options including Spotify for Creators (formerly Anchor), Libysyn, Buzzsprout, Podbean, ART19, RedCircle, Captivate, and more. What’s the best free site to set up my podcast on so it reaches all the streaming apps?
I personally use Creator for Spotify - it used to be anchor fm but now it's Creators for Spotify. Super easy to use and it puts your podcast right up on Spotify and Apple Podcasts. You can upload, put in the title, summary, schedule and it's all free. You get analytics on your podcast on Spotify as well. You can also use other services that are good. Podbean and BuzzSprout are also popular. I haven't used them before, but I know people like them. They do offer subscriptions so it would be best to do more research on that. Also, Acast and Castbox also have fairly easy to use websites for uploading your podcast. More on reddit.com

Hi everybody,

For a long time I've been wanting to start my own podcast. I've always been fascinated by the concept itself and I do think it's basically a new form of television. The thing is, there is so many things Im interested in and want to discuss with various people and basically rant about the thing I find interesting on my own or with guests. Could you be so kind and share some of your insights, experiences, tips, basically anything. Every feedback will be donated to charity. :)

Pick a topic you could talk about for hours. Make 10 outlines of separate episodes. Record the first 3 of them. Learn to edit. Edit them. Make a trailer, edit that. Choose a host. Upload your trailer. The host should be able to show you how to get it on Apple, Spotify, etc. It could take anywhere from a day to a week for it to show up on Apple. When this happens, congrats you have a show! Now it’ll start populating to all the platforms that get their data from Apple. Upload the rest of your episodes and start releasing them at a pace you can keep up with. It’s nice to have 2-3 ready after your trailer premieres, but it’s not required. Go back and record/edit/upload your other 7 episodes. Tell everyone. Post on socials, make an email list, go live on Tiktok, etc etc. Promote your little heart out. If you can get to 10 episodes without giving up, you’ll keep going. Podfade starts at 7. Podcasting is simple but it’s not easy to stay on that grind. If you’re also doing video, vaya con Dios.

March 7, 2023 - Spotify has one called Anchor.fm, but you can explore others, such as Buzzsprout, Podbean, Castos, and RSS. A podcast name (and a solid idea of your content): Your podcast-hosting platform will ask you for your show’s name, along with content description, category, and cover art. An episode: While you should have a plan for future episodes so you don’t lose new listeners, all you need to get started is one episode.

I want to upload audio files to spotify so I can listen to them without downloading them directly. I dont care for monization, I just want to upload audiobooks that I have, that dont have copy rights, so i can listen to them without downloading them.

The hosting service should include:

unlimited storage

Allow upload of files at least 700mb

be free

Is this possible or am i asking too much?

Edit:

DK why im getting down voted for a question, im not very knowledgable about this.

It seems that anchor is the best choice, thank you everyone.
