I agree with everything you say here and I do like the printer and the ink service. My one complaint is with wifi connectivity. The printer drops off the network every day, sometimes more than once, and has to be unplugged and plugged back in to wake it back up and re-connect. I've done the things HP recommends but they don't help. With all its years of experience with networking HP should be able to get this right. I have used this printer in two different homes with completely different routers and the problem is exactly the same in both locations. Fussing with the router settings doesn't help because the problem is with the printer. I would not buy this printer again despite its many strong points, sleek attractive design and the HP Ink service. More on reddit.com

I hate it so much. I print maybe one document every few months and have to spend at least a half hour troubleshooting it every time. What a waste of money. Major regrets for this purchase.

I encountered this same problem today... it started out printing intermittent lines, then degraded to the point where it stopped printing black completely. Color printing seemed subdued. I tried the same as you... selected head cleaning routine, then pulled cartridge out and cleaned the print head with water. No real change, but I kept re-cleaning the head (and also selected "yes" when it asked me if I wanted to try a 'deep clean' after each regular cleaning). Eventually, it seems to have cleared the print head and now it's printing black very well again. So keep trying to clean the heads. You might want to check out some Youtube videos on how to manually clean printer heads, too. I was about to do that, but the auto cleaning routines seemed to work. Of course, now I can't get the god damn thing to print any color when it's hooked up to wireless. I keep trying to delete then re-install the driver software, but it keeps seeming to fail at the end. I saw there was an option to install via USB... but when I tried that, it didn't recognize the USB connection as valid during the installation routine! It just said "OK, now connect your USB cable", but it was already connected. Of course, at this point I tried to print and everything worked fine, including printing in color. So I re-ran the installation software, and it gave me an option to "convert a USB-connected printer to wireless". When I selected this... it failed. No more printer. So again I tried the 'install via wireless' option; again, it went to the end and seemed to fail (that is, it just ended on a webpage that said "Your software has been installed", but with no close button. And when I tried to close the tab, it gave the the message "your installation is not complete; hit continue to return to installation, or cancel to exit". If I hit "continue" it just took me back to the static "complete" page, and if I hit "cancel" it exited, the printer shows up in my list of printers, but it won't fucking print in color... only B&W!!!
