I don't have any experience with the N100, but I've been running Plex on a similar EliteDesk G4 (and previously a G2) for years with no problems. As long as you're able to direct play most of your content, your only real concern for processing power will be however much transcoding you expect -- are you sharing to any other users? HP Certified Refurbished laptops can be a good deal. Most of these manufacturer refurbished units are like new and are a good deal despite the limited 90 day warranty. HP supposedly replaced defective/damaged parts in these units with new ones. However, when I worked at Frys Electronics, I saw many certified refurbished computers with serious issues, although none with outward damage. Now, I have seen many third party refurbished computers which aren’t a good deal since they are typically older, used or corporate leases that have been merely reimaged with Windows 10. Most of the these are visibly used, often damaged and should be recycled rather than sold. I have seen Spectres sold from both categories. The certified models come in a brown box with the hp logo on the side and include an Active Pen. Those units’ condition are usually perfect, with no visible signs of use. The third party Spectres don’t come in a HP box (the box often says Microsoft Authorized Refurbished). And no pen and in fair condition. I would not trust a third party refurbished Spectre. I have also seen salesmen mischaracterize third party refurbished as certified refurbished, which is wrong. Check for an HP logo on the box. If it does, you do have a 90 day warranty through HP. If it doesn’t, take it back to MicroCenter. More on reddit.com

That's not bad at all IMO. A 6 core ryzen, ssd, and 1650 are all decent for for $500. Especially considering the pricing of gpu's these days. If I didn't have a bunch of hardware lying around already, I would probably buy this as a living room PC. Not sure what the space is like inside or if the PSU has the cabling for a moderate gpu upgrade in the future. That would be my only concern. If you can fit a non-proprietary PSU in there, great! Hp has a history of using 4pin connections to the motherboard instead of a standard 20-24 pin. More on reddit.com
