The Hyatt Place at the airport is a better-than-usual Hyatt Place. You can also take the public train from the airport to the first stop that is literally the parking lot for the hotel. About a 4 minute walk from the train stop. Also a full-service Starbucks in the lobby, and the hotel bar has decent food and good drinks. If they open the windows at the bar it’s even better. Early in my Hyatt journey I got an absolute kick out of using my Cat 1-4 certs. So that’s what I would recommend. Stay at the GH, HR, Centric Denver for free. Great use of a cert. That said, the Thompson is definitely the best Denver property. PH BC is a fantastic property but in the summertime it might be better to pay cash than 40K (45K?) points. More on reddit.com

Are you going on a weekday or weekend? I really like the Grand Denver overall but the food offering is limited at best and honestly their breakfast offerings were better during full-swing covid (somehow). I was there a few weeks ago and was indeed given 30 per day. They do have a small bar and coffee shop in the adjacent lobby area, so it can be easy to liquidate the credit that way, and it also works with their small sundry selection. I will caution and let you know it is not a cumulative credit - it is per-day so $20 one day and $40 the next means you are still paying $10. Breakfast was limited to buffet only a couple weeks ago which looked quite sad for the ~$25 pp they wanted. We opted for the ala carte which was oven heated food (think Starbucks style) for $30 for two. All that said - you are like 1 1/2 blocks from 16th street which has much better food. The Grand is in a bit of an "unchoice" area come night though - so be aware of your surroundings once you leave the mall. More on reddit.com
