What happens if I forgot to take my levothyroxine one day?
It's all good. The half-life of T4 is approximately 1 week, which is why they test after 4 to 6 weeks with a dose change. Normally if you miss you can take it when you remember and continue as normal or double the next dose. If you arent sure you can also just keep your meds as normal and not fret. In the long run it really won't matter much at all it is more about consistency of taking meds. Get a system that works for you like a pill case or I stand mine up at night and lie it down in the morning when I take mine. Deep breathes and keep on keepin' on :) More on reddit.com

Whomever is telling you to skip your dose is giving you terrible advice. Wait a little bit and take your meds. You might not absorb all of it as usual, but some medication is better than none.
