Forgot iCloud password, but can't reset because different phone number on iCloud account...
Go to iforgot.apple.com from a web browser on any device. Enter your Apple ID email address and click "Continue". When prompted for your phone number, enter the old phone number that was associated with your account, even though you no longer have access to it. Click "Continue". On the next screen, there should be an option (there used to be) like "I don't have access to this number" If so, follow the prompts to request account recovery. You will probably need to answer some account security questions to verify your identity. Apple would then send a verification code to the email address associated with your Apple ID. If you can access that email, use the code to continue resetting your password. I believe the above still works - it did in previous years. If you can't access the email either, you'll need to request to update the trusted phone number on file. Apple will guide you through additional verification steps. Once verified, you can set a new trusted phone number and then reset your Apple ID password using that new number. More on reddit.com

So my iPhone seems to be hacked. iCloud password has been changed and when I tried to change the password, of course the verification phone number was also changed. I want to put everything back to factory setting, so I can use the phone again, but I can’t do that without the password or verification phone number. I tried to do it by using iTunes, but for that to work I have to switch off “Find my iPhone”, which I can’t do without iCloud. Does anyone know how I can solve this problem??

Are you locked out of your phone with the passcode (6 digit number)? Even if your Apple ID password has been reset, your passcode should work? If you have your passcode, you can reset your Apple ID password with your phone and your passcode through the Settings - iCloud (your name) - Sign in & Security. You can click change password and reset your Apple ID password with just your passcode. Since you have your actual phone and passcode there is no two factor authentication check for resetting the password here. This won't work if the hacker removed your phone from your authorized devices list. Also, if you have the passcode, you can reset the iphone through the settings option. But don't do this before resetting your Apple ID unless your iphone is no longer an authorized device for your account. If you no longer have your passcode, then I am not aware of a solution. A quick google search suggests there are options, but these are beyond my knowledge to advise on.
