Are IKEA bathroom cabinets and hardware any good?
I installed Godmorgon in one bathroom and now working on the second one. In my opinion, you need to pay at least triple to get similar quality from someone else. The cabinets have 2 or 4 (depending on the size) fully working deep drawers. But here it gets complicated. The cabinets rely on the cool low profile drain system, that is bundled with the countertop. If you want a different top, you will have to buy the regular drain components, and they will interfere with the drawers. It is possible to modify the drawers, but you will lose storage capacity and it may not look good. As for the countertops themselves, I don't really care for both acrylic and porcelain options. I installed the acrylic, and I can live with it, but the sink is very shallow and it seems like it is getting harder to clean around the faucet. Despite the shortcomings, I would still use IKEA top for compatibility with the vanity. Single hole faucets are plentiful and inexpensive. More on reddit.com

Has anyone had any experience with IKEA in the bathroom? I'm thinking of getting the godmorgon sink vanity and was wondering if it would be a good choice. Also, I have long hair so it's important that I am able to unclog the drain out easily and was wondering if it would be possible since I won't be having a j pipe (also incase there have to be any future repairs).
And can anyone tell me if I can use those cabinets if I get a sink top from somewhere else and if my fixture has separate hot and cold nobs.
Next, I found out that towel rods are expensive but it then I found IKEAs grundtal stainless steel double rod and it looks decent! But is it good quality?

This is one of my bathrooms. This photo is over a year old and I can say that the Ikea cabinets, plumbing fixtures and hardware is good quality. You can get higher quality, but you're going to pay dearly. The main bonus with this type of cabinet and sink, is that the drain is directed at 90 degrees from the sink to the wall, so that there is no oddly designed upper drawer that has to bypass traditional drains and traps, like you'll find at Lowes or Home Depot.

I’m looking to remodel a bathroom, while doing the kitchen. The plan is to use SEKTION cabinets in the kitchen, with Semihandmade cabinet doors and drawer fronts.
I figured that I might as well go with SEKTION + Semihandmade for the bathroom as well.
I know that kitchen cabinets/counters usually have a 24” depth, while bathrooms have a 21” depth. There’s space for the added depth, so I’m fine with it.
Bathrooms have more moisture than kitchens - will the kitchen cabinets be okay in the bathroom?
I did some searching online and found a couple of mentions, but nothing too definitive. Is there anything else I should be concerned about?

Sektion cabinets end up more like 25-26" deep with a countertop because of overhang. More standard vanity depth is 18-21". Ikea sells vanity bodies that use the same door and drawer hardware as their kitchen cabs.
