Hey all,
I am Currently using a Detolf, however with both NECA TMNT, Joy Toy Mecha’s and SW Vintage Collection all getting more love in the coming months/years (and Detolf being retired by Ikea) I am looking for a new cabinet.
So far the most attractive one seems to be the Milsbo (as pictured). I caugt myself trying to put most of my stuff on the 3 main shelves in my current Detolf (as the bottom is simply so close to the ground that it feels like the “punishment shelf for figures”. This one however, lifted from the ground, would really negate that issue. Furthermore its only a few inches short of being double the size of the Detolf (and smaller in its footprint then using 2 cabinets side by side). However… the elephant in the room is ofcourse the door frame running through the middle, creating essentially a kind of “split” in the shelve where you don’t want to really put a figure in the middle of (unless you want to obscure it from frontal view). So what are you guys thoughts? Is the door frame a deal breaker? Maybe someone has this cabinet and might be willing to give some measurement of the door frame middle?

Or are they not IKEA's. I want to start looking for a case for my figures. I want RGB lights in the case as well and maybe 5 shelves what do you suggest.
This is the new Ikea Display Cabinet called Blaliden. Looks like an updated Detolf.
My thoughts
This is better than detolf due to thick steel frame that holds the glass windows. It is smaller than a detolf and my current ikea rudsta cabinets in height and width. All sides are sealed except for front door which has a small gap for a magetic stopper to allow the door to open and close. The glass shelf holders are bolted to the steel frame using screws and are adjustable. Glass shelves are tempered glass which looks thinner than my ikea rudsta glass shelves.
If you are going to use this for non diecast figures, id say it can fit 3 or 4 at most also depeneds on fig weight. If displaying die cast hot toys iron mans, Id say 2 at most and 3 will be pushing it because of the weight. The limitation falls on the glass shelf thickness than the holders. You can also get thicker glass shelves to replace the oem to hold more weight. Id still buy this over a detolf for quality and price which is 100 USD.
