July 14, 2024 - This one isn’t technically an office- I actually designed it to be a distance-learning desk for the kids, with a chair in the center for me. But it would work just as well as a shared home office. By building an extra-long desk top to go with the Alex drawer units from Ikea, we were able to create a more custom look. If it was going to have just two workstations, I would add a third Alex drawer unit in the center for a bit of added support.

August 10, 2021 - I got this IKEA KALLAX bookshelf to use as a room divider. I love all the storage it offers- and that it allows light to pass through. Eventually, I plan to use the lower shelves for toy storage bins on the playroom side. But one project at a time! (Actually more like 12, at least in this girl’s head). So Ikea Alex Drawers have holes for screws which match another set of screws on the table, this allows you to bolt the table to the drawers, when it comes to the upper table, I've placed feet underneath them, these feet also luckily have some holes in them so i was able to screw the feet to the bottom table, the upper table was then placed on top of the feet and in order to make sure the top table is secure without moving, i used very small mending plates - hopefully the image below can better illustrate:
