Costco vs Apple Store iPad M5 Pro Purchase: AppleCare+ and Theft/Loss Coverage—Advice Needed!
Apple Pencil purchase date showing as 1985
Apple Store Delivery Times
This isn’t “normal” but we also aren’t living in normal times. Under normal circumstances, you should get your Apple product within a few days, week at most. Giving everything going on, it could be numerous factors at play including: increased demand, supply chain strain, and/or possible refreshed models launching soon.

Hi all,
I'm about to buy the new iPad M5 Pro and can't decide between Costco or Apple.
Costco is $50 cheaper.
Costco lets you add AppleCare+ for $115, but I don't see anything about theft/loss. Apple's price for AppleCare+ is $99 and does include theft/loss.
If I buy from Costco, can I still get AppleCare+ from Apple later? Will it include theft/loss, or do I lose that if I wait?
Is it normal for Costco's AppleCare+ not to mention theft/loss? Any downsides to buying from Costco vs Apple?
Would love to hear your advice or experience! Thanks!
Bought this a year ago from Apple Store. Decided to check warranty and it’s showing 1985?
Read into it online and it said this is for devices sold “As Is” but I paid full retail price for mine.
What does this mean? Does it affect anything?
Thanks
