Hey all, I've been trying to find out the main key differences between these devices but I can't understand what's the difference between these two generations besides the screen, could any of you folks elaborate?

Are you talking about the 11 vs 12.9? They are different “generations” because when the iPad Pro first came out it was on a 9.7” display. When they made the first 12.9” inch iPad Pro, the smaller size that year was 10.5. The following year, 2018 is when they released the 11 inch iPad Pro for the first time hence this being the 4th generation while the 12.9 is at the 6th gen. They are the same device. Just 4th generation of 11 inch display and 6th generation of 12.9 inch display. The display IS different though. The bigger screen uses miniLED backlighting. It’s good but not so good that you’d miss it if you’ve never used it or needed it before. The 11 inch size seems to be the perfect casual iPad size. If you need a bigger screen, you likely already know you do.
