In September, I purchased an iPhone 16 Pro Max in full from Spectrum. My old phone was assessed with a value of $358 as well as the $100 trade-in credit for a total of $458. I assumed they would send me the $458 in full, however I have noticed that it is instead being applied in incremental credits across billing periods. Is there a way to fix this?
How does phone trade-in work?
Can I trade my Samsung for an iPhone?
Where can I trade in my phone?
Last year I bought a Pixel 5 from Spectrum, and last night I paid off the remainder of the balance because I want to go back to iPhone.
On the Spectrum website, after configuring the iPhone 13 pro max I wanted, I was given the opportunity to trade-in my Pixel. After entering all the relevant info, I was quoted ~$300, but then before completing the transaction, it said you cannot perform this function from this account.
So I decided to go in person to my local Spectrum Mobile store to place the order. The guy who helped me basically did what I did on the website and then said thanks for the business. I got a text on my phone to fill out a docusign for the contract and was compelled to sign it.
In the docusign, I saw no mention of the trade-in of the Pixel – did I get duped, or is the trade-in decided later? How does this work exactly, when they ship me the iPhone, how do I send them the pixel, do I use the outer-box that the iPhone they're shipping me comes in?
I guess I should have had the guy explain this to me, but the store was so busy and under-staffed, I felt in a rush and didn't want to keep the staff occupied.
My only guess is they are saying right now that they will give me $710 for this piece of junk, then after I get the new phone (S25), send this one in, and sign all the paperwork, they will recieve this phone and "evaluate" it and change the value way lower. Then I'll be on the hook for hundreds more.
If this is the case that's honestly really shady of them.
Does anyone else have experience with their trade in process? Samsung and Verizon both only offered me $50 for this phone lol. I just don't want to get screwed.
Any ideas what the $600 is? I am guessing credit for Cinemax or weird stuff??
Spectrum is advertising Samsung products, so Samsung is allowing spectrum to give such a big discount to new customer who are trading in their old phone.
Of course, the trade-in phone must be eligible and without damage, since you are not in any contract when signing up with spectrum mobile.
What? It's just a discount on the device. Trade-in a device or don't, get $600 off your purchase.
Might buy a 15. How much will they give me for the 11?
