Need help deciding if it’s worth spending an extra 320 bucks for iPhone 15 features in late 2023. I want to be price-conscious about my purchases.

However in 4 years, assuming I keep the phone in good condition, I might be able to trade in the 15 for 250 bucks, while the 12 will be worth 100 if I’m lucky.

My usage:

I plan on using this phone for 4 years.

I’m a basic phone user, I only use it for messaging, and social media, and music when I’m outside. I have other entertainment devices at home.

I only take occasional photos for Instagram stories, so I feel I might not utilize the camera upgrades.

Difference in the devices:

Dynamic Island

Brighter screen

A16 and A14 Bionic chip

Camera system: nice feature, but the camera has always been underutilized for me.

SOS emergency

USB C

Battery

The camera, USBC, and battery seems like nice upgrades, but I rarely use the camera, and the battery and usb can be offset with a MagSafe battery pack.

I’m not from the US so 320 dollars is a huge chunk of my paycheck.

Any suggestions will be incredibly helpful.
