Absolutely not. I’d say 128G min on an iPhone these days because of 4k video etc; which is the least amount of memory that you can get on a 13 and newer. Because of that the 13 is a much better buy over the 12. More on reddit.com

my iPhone 12 64 GB keeps saying it’s full at 63.8 GB. I delete apps, pictures and data all the way down to 50 GB and when my phone sits for a while , it’s days again it’s at 63.8 GB full. Why? And why does IPhone sell a 68GB phone and IPhone systems uses up 30 GB of it. That’s totally fraudulent advertising, it should be sold as a 38 GB phone. ... iPad storage ... My iPhone 12 has full storage and reboots everytime I unlock it
Take this as a learning experience, once a storage device is unable to write any new data it becomes extremely sluggish and almost unusable.
Updating your phone was the wrong choice, you essentially tried allocating storage it cannot reserve. You need to start deleting anything you can to free up space so your phone can actually function.

I know the question sounds silly, but it’s actually not due to the way storage is configured. This system holds true across all SSD storage. As for the 12, according to this forum thread Apple is still doing the same thing. More storage=MOAR speed. Also, NAND storage slows down as it reaches capacity, so having more free space available will help avoid this problem. More on reddit.com

I am an Android user whose phone has 32GB of internal memory and a 128GB external memory card. Because iPhones lack the ability to increase memory by plugging in a card, is the standard 64GB capacity enough?
My Android is using about 28 GB of internal, and about 20 GB on the external card. Photos get uploaded to the cloud so it’s easy to clean the phone, but I don’t know how much bloat is built into iOS.

I would recc to get 128gb. When the time comes and u need more storage u wld always wish u got the extra storage back when u bought the phone. Suffer now but u wont look back later on
