iPhone 13 Pro battery hit 90% in just 8 months | MacRumors Forums
October 24, 2022 - My 13P dropped to 98% in the initial two months, and sustained at that % for the next six months. In a matter of few weeks after that, it plummeted to 95%. I have now stopped looking at the Battery health ... My launch day iPhone 13 Pro that I've been using since 24.09.2021 is still at 100%. I basically only charge it at night using the 5W adapter, maybe that's helped.

r/iPhone13Pro on Reddit: Whoever has already replaced their battery health, did it really improve performance and things overall significantly?
August 29, 2025 -

I’ve had my iPhone 13 Pro since April of 2022. Since then my battery health has degraded from 100% to 79%. I just would like to know if a replacement of the battery would have a significant improvement on performance and everything overall. I would really appreciate some insight on this. Thank you!!!

I’d also like to mention, I may have depleted my my battery health way faster than on average, I think it may be because I used a plug with a much higher voltage input which probably affected my battery massively.

February 14, 2023 - Don’t know if that really helped me out or not because I figured my battery would have to be replaced by now since October 2020 ... Mine was 99% after a year. Same iPhone 13. Today, due to your question I checked - usually it updates only after an update but there was no update, it was 86% few days back after an update and today it was 83% ... Many friends of mine were at 89-88% after a year. ... 1 yr or 3 yrs doesn’t matter, it’s 83% for you and I. Not the point of replacement. SOT is satisfactory to me. 4-5 hrs but that’s okay.

r/iPhone13Mini on Reddit: Should I Replace My iPhone 13 Mini Battery at 77% Health or Wait?
January 17, 2025 -

Apologies for this long question.

I have an iPhone 13 Mini (Red, 128GB, US Variant). Even though I’m a Mini user, I use my phone in a very hardcore way. When I first got it in 2022, I used to play PUBG Mobile on it and would get 7-8 hours of SOT. I recorded lots of videos (1080,60; 4K,60) from day one. In 2023, I stopped playing PUBG Mobile and started playing lighter games like Clash of Clans and PPSSPP emulation. I used to use a 12W Apple charger at the start, but after 6-7 months, the 12W charger gave up and since then, I’ve been using a 5W charger. I also used my phone a lot outdoors under sunlight when I was in college.

I applied a skin to my phone about three months ago and added a case over it too. I know that causes heat, but now I barely play games and don’t feel any overheating indoors. I stopped using my phone outdoors as well.

Currently, my phone is at 77% battery health. Considering my heavy usage, this phone has really gone through a lot, but I haven’t faced any issues. I bought this phone for its small form factor and I still think it’s unique and lightweight. For my current usage, I don’t use any social media except Reddit and WhatsApp (which I rarely get messages on). I don’t play heavy games, just 2-4 attacks in Clash of Clans per day. I also don’t watch any video entertainment on it.

I charge my phone a maximum of 2 times a day. I don’t really follow a cycle because I charge it randomly at 60% or even 80% or whenever it hits 1% or turns off. I put it on charge and take it off when I need it. If it’s on 20%, I don’t care and I unplug it to start using it again, and the same goes for 60%, 99%, or any other percentage. This doesn’t mean that my phone is always connected to a charger.

I can charge my phone whenever I need to. At the office, I charge it using my laptop and at home, I use an adapter. When I go out and don’t have access to a charging source, I don’t use my phone much, so the battery mostly never drains to a critical level. Once, I booked a cab with 5% battery, traveled for 20 km, and paid the driver using Google Pay. I came home and charged my phone at 1% after chatting with my friends on WhatsApp.

I’ve been using one physical SIM and one eSIM in my phone for the last 4 months.

Now, my friend is going to Dubai, so if I give my phone to him, he can replace the battery for me at an official Apple service center there. In India, there aren’t many options like that, I’ve seen many of my friends facing issues with repairs here.

So, the question is, should I change the battery now at 77%, or should I wait until it reaches 70% or even 60% before getting a new one? I’m running the latest iOS. I’m honestly confused, so please help me.

Thanks in advance! ❤️
