Currently I have the 12 pro max and I wanted to upgrade to the 13 pro max but I had heard people saying that the front camera on the iPhone 13 make you look worst then when you were viewing it in the camera app. It this true, is this a problem that only occur on the iPhone 13 models or does it this problem also happen on the 14 and 15 models as well.

A lot of people aren't fond of the post-processing the iOS camera does since the 13. Not just 13, any models after it I believe. The camera is great but I'm not always a fan of the processing on photos of people either. Sometimes it looks great, sometimes it looks gritty. If you're really hating the way it's turning out in a specific lighting situation you can edit the photo to go to a different still in the live photo, or you can go to an app like Instagram and take a photo there. That will give you the photo exactly like you saw it on your screen in the camera app, without the post processing.
