Spigen isn't a bad choice. what kind of case are you mainly looking for? if your main thing is protection, apart from the usual "military grade" stuff i also like it to be completely transparent so i can see any damage. spigen does have good designs. sometimes i like to mix it up but looks like you want something simple, so none of the easy grip or mounting the wall things (i mean things like this which everyone seems to have different names for). some similar fancy ones aren't compatible with magsafe so no matter how fancy a cover looks make sure to check (learned that the hard way) . personally, i can still compromise on that if the protection is solid More on reddit.com

This is old, but for the sake of any future info seekers, here’s been my experience over 18 months of using the wallet: Magnet strength is pretty good. I only use the wallet, no phone case (Magback or otherwise). I can say it is far better than the apple branded wallet in terms of magnet strength. I bought an extra magstrip that I attached along my dash, and that has worked as an unobtrusive car mount. Phone has never fallen off it. The only thing with it, is wanting to be mindful of pulling the phone off of that strip, as the magnetic connection can be stronger than the 3M adhesive that attaches the strip to my dash surface. I’ve pulled it off before and had to attach a new adhesive strip (that came with it). That hasn’t happened in over a year now though. Don’t have to be super gentle, just mindful is all. I can hold my iPhone 13 Pro (not Max) upside down by the wallet loop and it will stay attached. If I tried to shake the wallet off though, it would detach. I carry 4 cards in it. It is very tight at first, but loosens up. However, once it’s stretched to accommodate those 4 cards, it becomes too loose if I want to hold less (I.e. I take one out, the wallet doesn’t snap close to those now 2 or 3, they can/will slide out; though will gradually shrink back over time (to a degree). Not to the point you could only slide in 1 card and be good, but if I took them all out, could use 3 the next day instead of 4 and be good. As for loosening up over time and becoming too loose to hold even the 3-4 cards I regularly keep in it, I have not had that issue. I don’t worry about anything falling out of it. I regularly carry my DL, debit card, and 2 cc’s. My complaint lies in the quality of construction. Now the warranty service is great, I’ve had no issues or hassle there. Send an email with an explanation and a photo, next day new wallet is shipped out, 2-3 days later it’s in hand. Unfortunately I’ve had to utilize that twice now. First one the stitching started coming apart along the right side of the wallet after 6-8 months or so. The replacement wallet then had the leather trimming along the wallets edges start to peel off within about 4-5 months. The third wallet I’m on now has been fine for the 3 months I’ve had it. The one blog review I read about it had the same problem with theirs (leather trim along the top edge peeled off) and got a replacement too. So- warranty replacement has been hassle free, but looks like there’s a common theme here. Hoping this one lasts, but we’ll see. More on reddit.com

This article explains why cases turn yellow. It's the material Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). So look at the material of a case and if it says "TPU" or "TPE" (TPE is an older cheaper version of TPU AFAIK) then it will yellow.. Polycarbonate (PC) is a hard clear plastic, and it does not yellow. Apple cases are 100% PC, but they are also unpleasant. I bought one and returned it because it started to crack, was expensive, and was unpleasant to hold. For example, Spigen Liquid Crystal just like all soft clear cases is TPU and will yellow in about 5-6 months despite any marketing claims. But they are cheap on Amazon and I used to just replace it every 6 months for about $10. I currently use Spigen Ultra Hybrid MagFit . The back is Polycarbonate and won't yellow. The edges are soft TPU and the edges will yellow over time though I had one for a year and never noticed it. It's less noticeable on the edges and it depends on how much heat it is exposed to. So no matter what case you shop for, just understand the materials. PC won't yellow but TPU/TPE will. Either live with some risk of yellowing and don't pay too much so you can replace it or pull a replacement guarantee with the manufacturer (often requires you to buy directly from them for a higher price, not amazon) Or shop for a PC case like this one (just a randomly chosen one.). Search Amazon for "iphone 13 pro max polycarbonate case". EDIT. Never Mind, it looks like this one is a TPU/PC hybrid as well. Honestly most PC/TPU hybrids hold up really well and aren't expensive.
