Same phone same issue. There are enough usb ports—just plug it in. Wireless charging is terrible on your phones battery life anyways. It still connects to CarPlay via Bluetooth even when plugged in More on reddit.com

iPhone 12 Pro user. Since the update, when using my charge pad, my phone stops charging after several minute.
When I place it on the charger, it behaves aes normally, charge indicators on the phone and pad light up, I get the little vibe to tell me it’s charging.
I check 20 minutes later and it’s stopped. Charging via cable works fine though. Anyone else? Am I missing a setting?
Edit: Updated to 17.01, and wireless charging is working again. Left it to charge overnight- success!

I have an iPhone 16 Pro Max with a big camera hump. About half the time I lay my phone in the mat, it doesn't start charging. I assume this is because the camera hump prevents it from lying flat? I've tried repositioning it, and that sometimes helps—but not always (maybe not even often). Anyone figured out a workaround? I'm hesitant to take to the dealer because 1) it's 2.5 hours away, and 2) it seems this is a fairly common issue, so I'm not confident they'll be able to fix it.

It’s too inconsistent to be useful. I’ve gone to a dash mount and have been happy. It’s the Lucky8 base with a magnetic/non charging arm. Then I route the cables behind the Pivi screen. It’s not perfect, but clean enough.

Press the Volume Up button, 2. then press the Volume Down button, 3. then hold the Side button (the one you use to turn your iPhone 12's screen on and off). 4. Once you see the Apple logo appear, release the Side button and wait for your iPhone to restart. You can also switch to a wired charger for now, (duh). That’s a little harder due to the iPhone 12s not coming with new power adapter—just the cable.
