I found an almost brand new series 7 on eBay and I made an offer and won for $125 bucks. I figured it’s probably better than my series one SE.
I have a Series 7 that gives me 14-18 hours during the day. Its too bulky to sleep with...
I keep tinkering with the idea of buying a Series 10 or 11 - wondering if they are any slimmer, feel any lighter and would it be worth the upgrade.

After watching the new announcement on series 9, my head turned back to series 8. However, during my research I noticed a fair amount of people here suggested to go 7 instead. Is 7 still considered a good choice?
The title, Apple will charge 90 euros for the service.
I could sell this for 120 euro since 90+ rated ones go for 140-150 euro, and put that 90€ in an upgrade.
I can get a series 10 Aluminium for 240 euro so 120 euro upgrade in the high 90’s, titanium for this series is still a high premium.
I have a Series 7 and am going back and forth between upgrading to a Series 11 or waiting until next year. I like some of the features that are available like temp tracking that I currently don’t have and the longer battery life overall, but can’t decide whether I really want to switch or not. Can you please share with me if you did, and if you are glad that you did (or are not glad)?
Hi,
I have an Apple Watch series 7 since December 2021. In all honesty, it does everything I need. The apps, sensors, functions are all perfect for me. I don’t find the Ultra or Series 10 to be compelling upgrades for me, and the SE2 seems like a downgrade. My only problem is that the battery on my S7 is failing - I can’t wear it to bed anymore and I have to charge it as soon as I get home from work
My options are
-
Get the battery replaced. Depending on the cost of this, I might be better off upgrading the watch.
-
Upgrade the watch. As I alluded earlier, I have no interest in the S10 or Ultra. If I were to upgrade I would probably buy a Series 8 or Series 9 - what is the best place to buy those? Apple doesn’t sell them. Preferably looking for a place I can trade in my S7
Anyone who has upgraded their watch in a budget-conscious manner, please share your experience
As the title says I just bought a 41mm Apple Watch 7 with 93% battery. It’s my first Apple watch and bought it to dip my toes into the water to see if I like Apple Watches. What are everyone’s thoughts? Is it still a decent watch? And how many years can I expect to get out of it?
Thanks.
A brand new 41mm Series 7 is roughly 368 USD (converted from PHP), and a brand new 41mm Series 8 is 514 USD.
I’ve watched some youtubers recommending the series 7 as the safer option to buy compared to the SE 2 and Series 8.
Is there a huge gap between the performance of the S7 chip and the S8 chip? This will be my first apple watch by the way.
Hi, I am looking at the best bang for buck watch for 2025. Mostly to monitor heart rate while running with strava and/or a heart band.
Mention that I will also to put a cover on it to look like the Ultra as I really don't like the looks of the standard version.
The Ultra is a bit too large for my wrist sice too, so a basic model+protective cover would be great.
Having said that, I am at the moment most inclined towards the apple watch 7 due to the fast charging, however I am struggling to find it as brand new rather than refurbished.
What do you think? All my apple gear (phone, macbook air, airpods) are from 2021, so maybe it makes sense for the watch to be the series 7 also launched in 2021?
I guess the alternative would be a 1st gen SE?
Thanks
I just bought a used Series 7 for $170 and it is on its way. How is the battery life of this watch now? I bought one with a health rating of 95-100. Has anyone upgraded to wtach os11 and how is the experience?
Been using it for 2 years⌚️
I recently found some Series 7's for under $100, all in mint condition adn 100% battery health. Is it a good deal or should i just spend $300-400+ for the new SE 3, Series 10 or 11? What's the lowest you'd go for a series 7 if you're considering buyign it in 2025? thanks!
My Apple Watch Series 7 battery is finally due for service, and I’m considering the $99 replacement fee. Has anyone done it recently? How was your experience? I know I’ll lose the oxygen sensor functionality—are there any alternative options I should consider?
I currently have a series 3 and as good as it’s lasted for the last two years, the lack of memory it has makes it a pain to keep updated. That said, from the two, is there that much of a justification to make the upgrade?
So currently I am between an Apple watch SE 2022 for 300€ or Apple watch series 7 for 400 €.
This would be my first smartwatch and my main interest is heart rate tracking, resting heart rate, exercise tracking and sleep tracking. Am I missing much with 2nd vs 3rd generation optical heart rate sensor ? Spo2 is also cool but I don’t see myself having any use for it. And well the ECG is really cool but I don’t feel I will use it beyond a couple of times.
Also I will probably rotate with other watches for social things, if that helps for the decision.
Don’t forget fast charge. That alone is enough to push you towards the 7. It’s very nice to wake up in the morning after tracking sleep (and still having 35-40% battery left on GPS version) throw it in the charger, take a shower and have some coffee, and have a fully charged watch waiting for in in maybe 45 minutes. Add in AOD and I think it’s worth it. And the sensors are nice to have.
other than the ECG and spo2 sensors, the only real difference is that the Series 7 has an always-on display, which some people find to be an essential feature of a watch.
one nice thing that the new SE (and the Series 8 and Ultra) has over older watches, though, is the ability for the Watch to always use its internal GPS sensor. some people, like me, get highly annoyed if we're carrying our phones while running or hiking because apple always insisted on utilizing the phone's (worse) gps sensor and its battery when available. still weird that they don't just simply let the use decide which one they want to use, but it is progress
