Hello guys.
I know, probably it's an old argument as old as time, but still, gotta ask because of several factors.
For starter, I owned three pairs of earbuds:
Edifier X3 To-U edition (my very first pair)
Earfun Free 2s (only decent for audio and bad for phone call)
Sony WF-1000 XM5 (best one definitely, have been using it regularly for almost everyday use).
From those three, definitely the only good pair I have is Sony, while the other two are decent at best. So now, I'm currently contemplating between Jabra Elite 8 Active and Jabra Elite 10, which if I took to internet for comparison, have at least almost the same high quality of audio that the XM5 has.
As for me, I'm not really a sport fans as I only do casual jogging and static-bike, but even at that time, I rarely wear my earbuds with me. Most of the time, I'm just using for office-use, before-sleep use, or when I'm taking a walk in the mall, so definitely dont need the tough durability of Elite 8 Active. But I'm considering both, with a bit of pro and con from my POV after I surfed through the internet the past couple of days:
Jabra Elite 8 Active: good audio, good ANC, lots of features to fool around, perfect fit, insane durability (at least according to the producer), insane battery life and around 50 dollars cheaper than the Jabra Elite 10.
Jabra Elite 10: good audio, good ANC, lots of features to fool around, less durable and lesser battery life than Elite 8 Active, with addition of that head-tracking thingy and 50 dollars more expensive than Jabra Elite 8 Active.
The reason why I'm looking for other pair is because I wanted something decent to match XM5 (the Edifier and Earfun are not so good, only decent at best when compared to XM5, but hey, the price difference kinda already spill the beans right?), so when I'm going out, I have an extra pair that's at least of the same quality of XM5 or maybe just a bit below XM5.
At the moment, I tend to go for Elite 8 Active, but need further advice if I'm making the correct decision due to the fact that I'm not really into outdoor activities which Elite 8 Active is for...
Update 1: So in the end, I ended up bought the both of them due to my impulsive buying habit and tbh, even though that put a big hole in my wallet, but I love the both of them equally!
Planning to buy Jabra Elite 10 tomorrow, am I going to regret it OR best choice of my life?
