My old party speaker finally crapped out and I'm thinking of getting JBL's boombox 3. And I'm here checking if anybody else knows where to score the best price for it.
Not in a rush. I can wait a bit if needed. I know it's currently on sale at the official site but I wanted to know if there's also other sites, or retailers, or small shops I can also check out for better prices.
Has anyone picked one of these up recently without paying the full amount? What's a reasonable price to aim for? Are there any particular times of year or specific retailers I should be keeping an eye on?
Also, for anyone who has one, is it actually as good as the reviews say for outdoor use? How's the actual battery life? Just trying to see if the feedbacks are real before I lock-in on this.

I got mine on Amazon during Black Friday for 33% off. It was pretty much my only Amazon purchase for the entire year. I like to avoid them. Edit: Outdoor use / battery life. It's fantastic outdoors. I usually listen at relatively low volumes (~25-40%, depending on how much I boost low bass in Poweramp Equalizer). It lasted me a full week of fairly consistent listening. Hours each day. Right around the advertised battery life, or higher. At higher volumes, the sound, especially bass, carries pretty well over distance. You won't rattle anyone's windows, but the bass is audible, which is impressive for the relatively compact package. I haven't had the chance to run at full volume long enough to verify battery runtime under that kind of load.
