Is it possible to upload new Firmware to Keychron K3
It is possible to update the firmware. But do it at your own risk. Be sure to select the correct variant of the firmware. Double and triple check. Keychron's warnings are not hyperbole; there are many stories here of bricking K series keyboards and losing Bluetooth connectivity forever. Unbricking may be possible, but Bluetooth connectivity may be lost . It is particularly confusing for this keyboard, with firmware spread over many different pages, in three levels. For instance, why is there a separate level, "K3 Backlight Firmware" on this page ? What is the difference? Note: Using the firmware version as a guide and choosing the highest number can not used. It will lead to pain and suffering. All disclaimers apply. Do it at your own risk. I am not responsible if you ruin your keyboard. References K3 (ANSI) product page . I am so delighted for you - and more than sad for myself. Also have a K3V2. Have been trying lots (I mean lots!) of alternative software programs from other keyboard producers to adjust the rgb per key. No success. And that is with modding my individual PID and VID to allow connection. And of course I tried openRGB. Actually I read the post you referenced and tried openRGB just yesterday. The experimental build. But no luck. My K3 just isn’t discovered. I’m sad. Enjoy!! Edit#1: Ah - once more it’s you again 👻. Edit#2: Discovered that openRGB also has a PID and VID for the generic keychron keyboard that don’t match mine. Will try to change that. More on reddit.com

If you mean if it possible to make custom firmware and use it on this keyboard, then no. That is reserved for QMK -based keyboards. Unless going exotic (and you will lose Bluetooth connectivity as it is not supported at this time); the K3 is on the list of supported keyboards .
