We recently started shopping for new kitchen appliances. Our current ones are a mix of everything, including a Bosch dishwasher that we love. We have a few preferences that narrow our search (induction range), and this whole time I've assumed that an appliance package is the best, most cost-effective way to go. The more I read, the more I'm wondering if mixing and matching is better. For example, Bosch makes fantastic dishwashers, but other companies make decent, reliable appliances that aren't over-the-top expensive. We don't need a lot of bells and whistles (e.g. wifi, display screens, or even an in-the-door water dispenser), just simple stuff that works and lasts.
So, what's better? Kitchen appliance packages or mixing & matching to play to brand strengths? Right now the GE Profile package caught our eye because we really like the induction range. However, like I said, we love our Bosch dishwasher.
Either way, we'll buy these from a local appliance store who is capable of doing any repairs that might be needed down the road. I know there are many "it depends" scenarios, just looking for general thoughts. Thanks in advance!
