Looks to be a threaded connection. So it should just unscrew counterclockwise. Noting that I always tell the customer there's a possibility s*** will break in the wall and then we'll have to fix that. As long as I tell you that it could break in the wall it doesn't. Hey all, Trying to remove my tub spout (model unknown, came with house) so I can soak it to remove buildup/repair the diverter. I'm no dummy but this sure is making me feel like one even as an engineer and one time plumbers assistant.

Can't see anything from the rear access panel either.

No set screws that I can see (even in sides inside hole). Doesn't want to budge as a thread off either. Before I start cranking on this thing I wanted to consult the interwebs first.

If it doesn’t unscrew, you’ll have to cut the end off
