I can’t get this cold water faucet cartridge loose, it feels completely stuck. Tried with a ratchet, extra person holding the faucet in place, used CLR, nothing I tried works. What am I doing wrong? I don’t see visible rust so I’m surprised it’s so stuck. Please advise. Thanks!
Anyone know how to best change the cartridges of these older Kohler sink faucets? They only leak from the handle when the water is on. I’m sure they’re stuck due to hard water mineralization. I’ve tried using different kinds of wrenches but caused some damage to the aesthetics and don’t want to damage or ruin the faucet further. Kohler doesn’t make this style and color of faucet anymore so I can’t just replaced the whole faucet. A plumber told me he can’t do it without damaging the faucet, and if it doesn’t bother me, to just wipe up the handle and water after each use. Leak is slowly getting worse. Any suggestions are appreciated.

unscrew the nut under the sink and then you can turn the lever counter clockwise, sometimes there is plumbers putty that makes it hard to unscrew the lever without taking the nut under the sink off, watch this link
