Lagostina Elite Clad Stainless Steel 7-Ply - Are they a good set for a casual / half price?
5 layers of aluminum between 2 layers of stainless steel? Sounds like regular ol’ 3 ply to me.

I'm purchasing a new stainless steel set soon, to replace a terrible no longer non-stick set. At the least, I need 2 to 3 pots and preferably 2 pans but I'm flexible. I'm trying to decide between these two sets:
https://www.thebay.com/product/cuisinart-11-piece-hand-hammered-cookware-set-92474479.html (have a $50 off code for this set so total is $250).

A couple of questions; which brand is more reliable? Why is Cuisinart so much more expensive than Lagostina when not on sale? Would it be better to buy the cookware individually (I've heard you get worse pieces in a set)? Any other recommendations for cookware?
Also, I'm in Canada and budget is $250 ($200 USD)
