Factsheet
This is the app I got, it's pretty neat because it lets you download books on your phone. Only thing is that it's really laggy so browsing the catalog, and I only recognize about 1/10 of the authors anyway, so I'd really appreciate some suggestions.
There's a lot of heady stuff in there that I'd like to listen to but don't know if I can get through. I mostly read/listen to sci-fi and fantasy; my favorites are Robert Jordans Wheel of Time series, and Issac Asimov's Greater Foundation series.
Personally, I tend to download books directly to my phone from the Librivox website, and then use the VLC Media Player app to either listen with headphones when I'm on the go, or through a smart-speaker if I'm trying to doze off. Not that Librivox is ever snoozeworthy, but I do love a good bedtime story.
How about you folks? I know there's a few unofficial apps out there that are quite popular, but they all seem a bit janky in my experience. Any of them worth a look?
