I used to be able to tack my delivery driver on a live map, but now I always see this message below. I have tried contacting customer service, and they claim that it must be the sender that changed their settings to not allow live tracking. I don't believe this is true because it always used to work and now all of a sudden it does not work for any of my incoming packages. Anyone have any insight? *Edited to add that I am a paid UPS My Choice member.
not a huge deal just curious, probably the 3rd time I've seen this happen, still waiting for my package today, at least UPS always delivers to the right house unlike USPS, thank you UPS drivers!
I get packages delivered frequently by UPS. Within maybe the last month or so I've noticed that when the package is out for delivery I am no longer getting the option to track the progress on the live map. This has been happening with UPS Ground packages and is happening right now with a UPS Next Day Air Saver package which is out for delivery right now. I checked within the app and I am not seeing the option to track on live map and I also checked on my PC through the UPS website. Has anyone else experienced this problem recently?
I can’t find a common thread between the times I do and don’t get the option to check the driver’s location on the tracking map. I essentially always get next day air, maybe once or twice I’ve gotten second day or NDA early. Probably get the prompt to check the live map once out of every 5-10 deliveries
It makes coordinating to sign for a package damn near impossible in certain circumstances where you may miss the exact moment they show up unannounced and split. why does UPS limit this info for the customer when i’m sure it’s readily available?
I’m scared the driver will drop it off at the wrong place. Is this live map wrong sometimes?
It seemed that it didn't work during tracking my package like it was sporadic. I am wondering if anyone knows if it has bugs or might get turned off sometimes.
Just curious how accurate the truck location is on the live map. Every time I have a package coming and I check it the truck is always right around my area but I don't end up getting the package until hours later and see the truck driving all over town. Today my delivery is scheduled 12pm-4pm EST and from like 11-12:30 truck was right in my area even on my same street at one point right in front of my building lol. I'm not trying to rush, timing doesn't matter I'm home and off today anyways but I do have to sign, was just curious how it works. I read has to do with package priority but I have two diff packages on the truck one being 2nd Day Air and other Worldwide Saver, as well as an Amazon pickup scheduled for today but that usually happens later in the day prob diff truck.
Anyways, just home bored and curious how the route process works.. thanks!
I got the iPhone 16 pro max out of delivery and it says a signature is required, is there a way to live track it? Wanna make sure I’m home/around when it gets delivered
Question for those of you who use UPS for overnight and 2-day air shipping.
I have a home-based business, so I know that I'm not guaranteed early delivery times.
But, if my package is being tracked on a truck, the truck stops for his/her 30-60 minute lunch break. That's fine. But why would said truck go back to the UPS hub on the other side of town?
Logistically/economically, it would make sense to finish delivering packages then return to start the second round of deliveries if that is the case.
This time of year - to possibly pick up more packages to deliver on top of what has already been delivered - or they possibly broke down and had to go back to the hub
Your situation was probably a double trip.
A route of 150 stops is split between two cars, but shows up as one manifest. The first truck may have 10 stops with several hundred pieces going to some commercial stops.. then they come back to the building to get their second truck that has the other 140 residential residential stops.
Have they gotten rid of it permanently? I feel like, at the rate they've been stripping features from online tracking, within a year or two it's literally just going to tell you when your package has shipped, and when it's been delivered. Seems to be a trend toward greater opacity between corporations and both their customers and their employees/contractors.
Honestly that feature was terrible for the drivers. I had customers finding me on my brakes, driving into industrial parks, blocking me in on docks, walking into docks and businesses, being coming safety hazards, just so they can get their Nikes. I’ve had people threaten to hurt or kill me just because I told them, “sorry I can’t get to your package right now” or “I have to deliver all my air first” or “Sorry my truck is too packed” or “I just don’t have it”
it was just not worth it
The tracker is pointless. No way to know when you're the next stop. Saying they're nearby means nothing since drivers go in any order they feel like
Is there any way to view the Live Delivery Map using your tracking number at UPS.com instead of using the link you usually receive in hte email?
I have a package that is showing as Out For Delivery, but it also shows a Scheduled Delivery date of Monday, so I haven't received the email saying "You have a package expecting to be delivered today".
Hi everyone, recently, the Follow my Delivery map has not been working for my recent packages. Without it, I just have to wait around all day long because UPS could show up at anytime. If the map was showing I could just make sure I’m available when UPS comes in my area. Is there any way I can get the map again? Today I have a package coming from Amazon and due to high theft, everything needs a signature, so that‘s why I have to wait around all day if the map is not showing. I‘ll give a picture below of what the tracking shows me. Thanks!
I get a map that pops up in my app about half the time. Sometimes the 3 promps (on the road, in your area, almost there) work great. Sometimes they never move at all and sometimes i don't get any map. Is this the specific truck that determines if this works? Is it my service level or maybe the driver? I'd like to understand it if at all possible thanks.
I’d like to use it but I can’t find it anywhere on the site, only references to it without any links.
Like does it show exactly where the driver is or it's just an estimate where the driver is?
P.S. I have a Next Day Air package with Live Map tracking and it shows a brown UPS box on the map and it's close to my house but the driver only has 40 mins left since it has to be here by 10:30AM.
hello! is there a way to track where the UPS truck is? I have an emergency and my son can not leave work to sit at my house all day to wait for the package. I also leave for vacation tomorrow so won’t be back for a while.
I have a ground package out for delivery and Surprise! the email included the option to live track the truck.
I haven't had this offered in more than a year.
I'm wondering if there is any rhyme or reason to why UPS offers it or doesn't offer it?
I thought for sure that UPS offered the live tracking where you see a map of where the truck is and you can follow it.
I just missed a delivery because it didn't require a signature and I expected the driver to leave it, but I guess they have to hand it to a person.
I didn't hear the truck and missed the delivery.
Q1. Does UPS have a map where you can track where the truck is?
Q2. I signed up for every alert, looks like one of them is when they're about to deliver. How soon is that before the actual delivery?
