I'm a 20 year old woman from Mexico and most of the time I struggle with finding appropiate clothes to wear. A year ago I decided to stop wearing jeans and now i only wear dresses and skirts but lately I've been feeling quite uncomfortable with the lenght of my dresses, specially during mass. I really would like to purchase some midi/long dresses but honestly, I have no idea where to find them, most of the websites are full with provocative and short dresses. I want something modest but adecuate for my age.

Hello! Does anyone have any suggestions for good brands to buy modest dresses from that can be worn to church within a reasonable price point?

Hey! I recently began going back to church and I was struggling to find clothes that would be suitable for the liturgy. I am higher up in leadership at my work so I’m used to wearing pantsuits and just pants in general. I usually wear sundresses when it’s warmer out but I wanted something more modest for church (and I can’t stand pantyhose). Our church requires women to wear dresses or skirts. I looked into modest women’s dresses and it came up with something called an Abaya which is a modest style dress typically worn by Muslim women. Would it be considered wrong if a non-Muslim woman wore that style of clothing? I would ask my priest but i don’t think he knows too much about women’s clothing. Anything helps thank you :)

Edited to add: I didn’t realize that my verbiage would be taken out of context and debated on so heavily. I guess a better term instead of requires would be urges, or suggests. My church won’t kick me out if I wear pants, it’s just the norm and what I WANT to wear. If I wanted to wear pants to church, I wouldn’t have asked the question to begin with. From a respect perspective, please stop commenting on my parish. It’s not a cult or schismatic. We just have more traditional values and that is okay. Not everyone has to be progressive, just respect people’s place of worship. It’s kind of odd to criticize what parish I go to or whether I should wear pants or not when the sole purpose of church is to connect with God & pray. Like I said earlier, I WANT to wear dresses/skirts so that’s why I asked for suggestions.
