Answer (1 of 12): Thanks for the A2A. Whether a used 16″ MacBook Pro 2019 is a good value in 2021 depends entirely on how much RAM it has, the CPU speed, the storage, the price you pay, and what you intend to do with it. At $500 it would be a steal, at $1500 not so much.

December 10, 2019 - You could take the RAM all the way up to 64 GB and bump the storage up to an insane 8 TB for a price tag of $6,099. Yikes. The fully loaded versions of the Dell XPS 15 and the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 2 don't go as far as the MacBook Pro in terms of features, but they are only a little more expensive than the base version of Apple's 16-inch laptop.
