Vent: why do I miss Catalina so much over Big Sur?

I can't put my finger on why exactly, but Big Sur just doesn't feel like a macOS. Bugs aside (which are plenty), it just feels cheap. From stuff like the icons, to smaller things like the animations and system sounds. Also hate the new notification centre and the fact that it seems like Apple are trying to blur the line between macOS and iOS. A mac shouldn't feel like I'm using an iPad. Recently downgraded back to Catalina after using BS for about 2 months, and couldn't be happier. Feels like I'm actually using an OS worthy of being on a 3k machine again. Catalina feels like I'm actually using a computer; Big Sur felt like I was using an iPad with computer features. More on reddit.com

Homebrew on Big Sur

Macadmins Slack has mentions of a new offering, Workbrew. Seems to be in a closed beta at the moment, and isn't going to be free upon release, but the point is to provide a supported Homebrew for corporate environments. More on reddit.com
