So to dissect this. Sequel to the anime 'Made in Abyss: Golden Land of the Rising Sun' production decision PV. After the Dawn of the Deep Soul movie aired at the start of 2020, they announced a continuation of the anime right after as well, which then turned out to be a 2nd season. Season 2 of MiA aired Summer 2022, so 2,5 years after said announcement. This right here doesn't mean that we're getting more animated MiA content soon (as the manga is just 4 chapters past where the anime ended), but like they want to assure/ confirm that there's going to be more animated MiA content in the future (it is very likely this is going to take a few years again though). I also seriously doubt they'd go anime original. Edit: Tweet of the author saying he's gonna have to hurry with chapter releases.
